Im looking at the Perimeter Billiard Light. Wish it came with a dimmer option, it doesnt, but not a deal breaker. Im just wondering how it compares to other lights out there?

I need a good light for not the greatest eyes over a nice Gold Crown 2.

Appreciate any advice! Thanks

Look at LITE SYSTEMS .. they are dimmable. I have the FinN… should have gone a little larger dimension wise. I need bright also. Brighter the better. Ceiling has high hats that supplement the lighting

Not a direct answer to your question, but experience from our recent game room renovation. Room was poorly lit. Had 8 LED ceiling lights installed and ran to a dimmer switch. Only require a hole in the drywall and mount with clips - not like the old can lights that require metal housing between joist. Installer didn't even have to go into the attic. Lights have a switch between 5 levels of brightness from soft amber light to super bright white. Alone, this totally changed the lighting in the room. Not so relevant if you want your room dark and the table well lit, but these were a game changer for us.

Which model would you recommend for an 8' table?

Just get qty 2; 2' x 4' LED's. Put them end to end over the middle of the table. They come with dimmers now. Cheap and will blind you if you look up.

The 2x4 LEDs are a good idea. The 6" round lights I suggested would be more to have the ability to increase overall brightness of the entire room. I don't think I would try to put these directly over the table as a light solution for a small area. They work/look best spread out.
