lycra spandex

Don't permanently attach the patches.have the patches sewn to a sleeve of spandex and slide the sleeve up over the case.

This is a great idea! How about a spandex sleeve with velcro, just like the nametags on uniforms. You can upgrade your APA patches as you progress, or remove them when you play TAP, BCAPL or other leagues.

Don't permanently attach the patches.have the patches sewn to a sleeve of spandex and slide the sleeve up over the case.

I was at a tournament and seen people getting their cases signed by some pros. That night I said to my wife that if I go back I am taking my case and have it signed. She is not a pool and asked why would you want to ruin a nice looking case. I am glad that I listened to her.

I have seen players with patches on a large safety pin then attached by a chain and that even looks lame, as bad as those people that have every key they ever had hanging on a belt loop on their pants.

I play in a bar league. Have run into a few players wearing vests, or bowling shirts with all their APA swag sewn on. I cringe.

Use knife

Lol, just carve he letters "APA" into the leather real big...that way you won't have to worry about the patches falling off.

Then carve ERO on the back, and 8OTB onto the cover...leave room for MVP...and fill the cuts in the leather in with permanent marker, so the leather won't get ruined by moisture seeping into the lacerations. Lmao. :grin-square:

I bought a JPechauer cue some time ago and have a 2x2 case and the top is oval. Along with the cue and joint protectors I received about six adhesive backed "J Pechauer Custom Cues" stickers which happen to be oval. One would fit perfectly on the oval top of my case. I thought about this for about a half a second and I decided NFW! But hey, whatever floats your boat!

Actually that's not a bad idea. I wish I would of thought of that before I glued mine to my playing cues. The patches don't look bad but learn from me.....don't stick them close to the ferrule or the joint:embarrassed2:

Use contact cement and follow the directions EXACTLY.

Or double faced tape for a less permanent solution. Clean the area where you want to put the patch with a little alcohol to make sure the adhesive will stick well. Don't do this if you are not sure as it might discolor that area. You can just use a little soap and water instead if you don't want to risk the discoloration.

Dry it well.

You can use superglue but it doesn't always adhere well.

You can use fabric glue for a less permanent solution as well. That's a lighter weight glue that comes off easily if you want to take the patch off later. Normally this won't harm most leather surfaces but it could. Use a blow dryer to warm up the glue before you take it off. The leather can be a different color where the patch was because it was exposed to less ultraviolet light.

Another way is to sew it onto the pocket. Whitten pockets open all the way so you can easily get to the area you need to sew.

Regarding decorating your case, it's YOUR case, do what you want with it. No one else paid for it, it's yours. Pros routinely stick patches all over their cases and they don't get knocked for it. I personally am not much of a sticker/patch person but I did put a bunch on one of my laptops. I put a Fury patch over the Acer logo and once I pulled my laptop out and one guy who saw it said to his friend that Fury was a good brand of laptops. :)

You are all missing the point, the patches on a case are a part of the hustle. Goes hand in hand with a Vincent t-shirt and a Nascar McDermott.

I have always said the same thing. I forget who the player was years ago who spent the whole SBE staying in action with a huge APA or TAP shirt on. He looked like a giant billboard saying "SUCKER" on it and in fact he is a GREAT player.

The new way to hustle is to make videos of yourself missing balls and wear all kinds of APA/TAP patches. Talk about your great league nights and you will have people lining up to gamble.

Or how about a chain on the wallet? Ever seen one of those yarded out that had any real money in it? Me neither.
