If anyone here likes to travel... I recommend this. Guangzhou is a fun, beautiful place.

I recommend lamb soup at any local restaurant.

What kind of travel money do you need for a week? Middle budget...
Thanks,

Guangzhou hosts the Canton Fair twice a year which is the biggest export fair in China, and I think the world? So there are plenty of hotels in town. Rates are low when there are no major events in town. The Asia Games probably qualifies as a major event.

You should be able to get a room for under $50 a night. Food & beer are dirt cheap. If you shop for airfare, it should be about $1K.

When I went to Guangzhou I had a blast.
