I would like some feedback on the sort of things you azer's out there would like to see put on the market in the way of new products or gadgets designed to help your game whether it be a new type of rack, an add on for your cue or something else.

It would be nice to get some constructive feedback.

I don't think you will get much feedback on this. Seyberts will give cash for any ideas that are submitted for new gadgets. If someone had a idea they would either market it themselves or submit it to Seyberts.

Gadgets, Innovations

1) Portable removable wheel set that is adjustable
for 2 x 4's to 4 x 8's (non scarring or scratching).
I was working on this for quite
some time, but did not have financing to bring it to
market. In those long tournaments, or in Vegas, can
just slap on wheel set to pull and give your shoulder a break.
2) A couple of convenience modifications to cases for
today's players needs. I like the idea of a net pocket
for cell phones. Slot holder for 2 pens inside a pocket.
Better padded shoulder straps for some cases. Jump butt
pocket is a necessity anymore, not just an option.
3) Would be nice if all cue tip tools could fit onto a
a keyring so they could be kept together.
4) A player's measuring tool for tips and shafts.
I am sure there are more, just can't think right now.

This is maybe targeted toward a small market, but some kind of inexpensive shaft "spinner". Does not need the accuracy of a lathe, just something for personal use that would allow a regular shooter to shape their tip, and condition their shaft.

I agree that this would be a nitch market, but what the heck?

How does one go about submitting something to Seyberts for instance? I don't see a link on the pages.

Thanks,
Shorty

A Pill I could take before a Tournment that would make me a Winner every time.:D

Everyone pays attention to what the butt of their cue looks like and ignores the tip!

I feel the tip is the most important part and needs "scientific" *accurate* shaping. People use nickel, dime *and* quarter shapes.

Yet many shapers are nickel only. Some cheap tip repair kits come with a quarter shaped sandpaper shaper - not right!

Also this is an *international* sport. U.S. coins sizes will not cut it...

And you do not want to shape your tip if it does not need shaping. Need to be able to see if it already has the proper shape.

A shaping tool is needed which will shape dime, nickel, and quarter shapes, and allow you to see if your tip has the proper shape. But might be better to use international sizes rather than U.S. coin sizes. And maybe even provide more shapes than the 3 - perhaps a penny size and something a bit flatter than a quarter?

Here are various sizes...

PVC SIZES...
Dime (1/2" PVC Pipe) [15.00 mm]
Nickel / Penny (3/4" PVC Pipe) [19.75 mm]
Quarter (1" PVC Pipe) [25mm]
Half dollar (1 1/4" PVC Pipe)
Billiard ball (2" PVC Pipe)

U.S. COIN SIZES...
Dime ......................... 18.00mm
Penny ..................... 19.10mm
Nickel ....................... 21.10mm
Quarter ...................... 24.10mm
Half Dollar .................. 30.50mm

So......what Euro coinages are there and what diameters?

Terry <used a nickle but really likes penny size.
