man sometimes it's better being lucky than smart. i've purchased two cues off this forum, and honestly did less research on the sellers than was wise. both vendors were precisely accurate with the description of their offering and every detail of our verbal contract executed. anyway, after hearing the details of this miserable transaction i thought now would be an excellent time to contrast him with the two gentlemen who treated me beyond fair: fast & loose and highend cues. thanks guys it was a pleasure. regards, lou
I am glad that it worked out for you. You were fortunate to pick sellers with great integrity. There are several others that are great as well. I have made several deals (and another in the works) with Jamie Wernsman. He is a fantastic person to deal with.
I am still angry about how I was deceived by Tank. Have you ever lost $2500 on a cue? That is real hard pill to swallow. I have learned a lot (albeit the extremely hard way) about cues and cue dealers. Tank decided to make the quick buck but if he was smart he could have had a customer for life (me). He made the wrong decision and it will cost him many deals down the road by the potential customers that now know about his business practices.
As for Mr. Gartland, he made his own bed. Now he must sleep in it. He also reduced his customer base by his antics in this thread.
I am a lot of things but I am not dishonest...
I am fairly certain this thread will eventually get pulled. That is a shame because of the information given to the rest of the AZ community today. People ned to use and READ the "Buyer/Seller transaction report". I am going to add these two names as a "Buyer Beware". On the internet the only thing you truly own is your reputation. At least mine is still intact.
Thank you very much to Marcus, Chris (SwissChris), Ross, RayJay, Tony, Doug and many others for exposing a dishonest seller. AZ truly applauds your efforts...
