ok tonight while i was at my local poolhall, i overheard the owner and a couple of the regulars, talking about a new cue tip made just for breakin. And he had one put on his break cue and the guy tried it, and smashed the rack, not even hitting full power.
So of course while i was sitting waiting for the tournament to start, i asked the owner about the tip, and he show'd me his cue, and the tips themselves, and explained them too.
I dont remember what they are made of, but he said that you dont ever hafta redo the tip, cuz it keeps the grip permanently, and that it basically turns any regular cue, into a breakin cue, thats just as good as any 500$ cue made for breakin.
Well i had the owner put one of these tips on my Viking VM-15, only because i was using it for breaks cuz its heavier, well It totally lets me out break the big boys, and has increased my average of balls made on the break.
a lil description on the tip, from what the owner said its rock hard, and takes a lathe to grind it down to size to fit the tip, and comes in, just a tip, or a tip/ferrule combo.
and for 20$ it was probably one of the best things i have done to improve my game.
I am curious of how many people have gone to a tip like this, and how they like the tip? or what they have seen of people who have gone to a tip like this.
