am getting very close to buying a Schon, probably model CX-02.

i am probably going to get this in 19 oz, and am wondering if this Schon cue can be made lighter if necessary? could the weight bolt be changed? or could it possibly be drilled?

thanks

If the cue has a stainless steel weight bolt you could have it replaced with an aluminum one. but if the cue is ebony or other heavy wood it may already
an aluminum bolt. In this case I don't know what could be done.
It should not be drilled deeper than the weight bolt, this would affect the hit
of the cue. You will also notice that Schon cues weight bolts are glued in.
A local cue making said he could heat mine up and get it out, but really did
not want to mess with it. (liability)
It would probably be best to have Schon do any work on the weight bolt.
I think 19oz. is the perfect weight. provided it is a well balanced cue.
Hope I have helped!
