I need any help I can get from you guys, I am booking 3 flights,

Atlanta, GA to Albuquerque, NM one way.
then
El Paso,TX to Atlanta,GA one way.

Then Charlotte,NC to Albuquerque, NM Round Trip.

I figured out the expense about a week ago and when I go to book today it is mental $$. I am hoping that here on the AZB community we have someone who can get deals on airfare that does not have 3 stops on the way. Please let me know if you have any info or suggestions, thanks in advance for any help,
Mark,

I have had very good luck with Travelocity. If you tweak the arrival and departure TIMES, you sometimes can get some good deals.

You might have to experience a long layover to get the BEST deals.

My brother just booked a one-way flight from D.C. to California for 60 bucks yesterday. He has a 4-hour layover, though. :p

The best deals I have found are not that great and also have 2 stops or 4 hour layover or something wierd about them. I have tried Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire, Cheapoflights etc and get either high prices or a bunch of inconvieniences. I will keep trying and thank you for your advice on this JAM. Oh Lenny do me a favor and call KT and ask if he will help me out. A bigtime guy like you should know someone. :)

The red eye flights are best.

Whoa! 60 bucks? What a bargain?

Southwest Airlines generally speaking has some of the best rates around.
I've never flown the BLUE airline or something Blue.:o but I've heard they have good values also.

If you can hook up with a retired Delta employee you might be able to purchase a stand-by ticket BUT BE WARNED, it can get pretty nasty out there waiting to get on a flight, when most flights these days are booked solid.

Stand-by: You wait until all of the paying customers have gotten on the plane. If there are any seats left, those stand-by ticket holders are allowed to board until the plane fills. They have an order for standby tickets and usually it is the retiree of employee who has the most seniority who standby tickets are used first. Cost around 25 cents on the dollar, but just remember I warned you. There is no recourse if you are stranded at the airport with no other flights getting out that day. You may have to just sleep in the airport until the next morning and call your mom to say a Novena in hopes that you will get on a flight the next day. IT'S GAMBLING. :D

man alive I was so excited when you began then your warnings and the gamling business has scared me a little. So when you are gambling with an airline for seats do you have to spot them anything or just play even?

If you wait until the last minute to book a flight, you're not going to save much, you need to book at least 2 weeks in advance, but I do have some good news....I switched my insurance to Geico and save a ton of money:D

Easy man, chill out or just go order some of the Clarocet pills. No need for getting excited, it will destroy your cue ball speed.

You just push all your chips to the center of the table and hope the other passengers don't s**t out.

If you lose, the only thing it'll cost you is a seat on that flight. You can always walk back to the ticket counter and pay four or five hundred dollars for that round trip ticket instead of the $95 for the standby ticket. You can use the standby ticket another day.
