There is truly nothing finer than a pool tournament in the Carolinas, and Fast Eddie's is the place to be during the Carolinas Open.

What a great bunch of pool folks, and then there's all the great action generated when the competitors start rolling into that wonderful Town of Goldsboro. The ride into town off the highway is a joy, and then let's not forget that ambrosial cuisine and fine Southern hospitality! :)

Of course, when I reminisce about the Carolinas Open, I just look at my pictures of the 2003 Carolinas Open:

I may have to take me a trip to Goldsboro, come this October 2 through 7, only a 5-hour drive from my humble abode, and a very pleasant drive at that! Man, did we have fun! :)

Gold star goes to any AzB-er who can name at least 8 pool players in the picture below who getting ready to chow down on the complimentary buffet provided by B's Barbecue and Mrs. Gene Hooker! :p

I'll be in the 9 ball portion. Thank god some tournaments happen around NC. (new to the NC area)

cubc you are in a very bad area for tournaments in NC. What little bit of tournaments that do actually come through usually hit Raleigh, Greenville, Rocky Mount, Hickory, and Goldsboro........
 
The phone # doesnt work.

Anyway i'll travel to those areas for tournaments that start and play during the day / evening times. All the tournaments locally "claim" to start at 8, they dont really happen till 10pm and dont finish till 3am and I gotta get up and work at 5:30am so I guess pool players now dont have jobs anymore or something. In TX it was much diff.

It is the same in VA...I gotta get up early too and those 3 hr sleeps are no good for workdays!

First Class Event

Lots of folks will be passing thru Goldsboro for this tournament. Always a strong field for a first class tournament. We send several players every year and they always have a great time. Cute waitresses too. They do a great job.

haha I've been trying to sign up. 3 different numbers now and finally talked to an older guy who was like it's too early to be calling about it. and sort of shoo'd me away haha. I'll keep harassing people until i get signed up.

Frustrating to know it's posted but unable to find someone who knows something.
