Sure this has been covered before, but anyone know of celebrities that play leagues? Don't know if this counts, but had a girl that played in our league in Tallahassee about 10 years ago and later became a porn actress...

I was told what it was, can't remember. It was Brooklyn something...

We weren't surprised when we heard the news either. When she was living here in town, she was getting free rent in exchange for the dirty with a few other guys on one of the teams. Beautiful girl too...

kinda famos

maybe not as exciting as a porn star, but it has to do with pool. when i lived in lake havasu city az, i played in a league with a couple snowbirds, and i was impressed with the play of a guy named dick bershart [ guess at the spelling of the last name ] he seemed to really know his way around the table. we played and drank for a few years, great guy. after i moved away i learned he holds a record for the largest win in u.s. open history in 14.1. he beat joe balsis 150 to -13.
he is a celebritie to me

I have a Denver Bronco cheerleader on my VNEA team.
She was the FIRST Denver Bronco cheerleader in about 1960.
I know I know, this post is useless without pics.

Mason Reese has been a fixture in the NYC APA for over a decade. You have to be old enough to remember tv from the 70s and 80s but he was in over 75 commercials, did tv show appearances and was one of the most famous childhood actors of the time. I believe he's an s/l 5 but it's been a while since I've seen him so I'm not entirely sure.

Dick Baertch (sounds like BARCH) holds a record that will NEVER be broken. The match actually involved Balsis having 3 consecutive fouls 3 times in the game, that's minus 54 points on the score. The funny part of the story is that Dick ended up taking 12th place in the tournament because of this match. Usually 9th thru 12th is a tie but they used the balls per inning average to decide any of the positions that were tied. For his 12th place finish, he got paid $75. Not bad for a record that will probably stand forever.

Dick is an absolute gentleman and a credit to the game. AND, yes he is a celebrity.

the stunt man for matt dillion in gun smoke plays in our league.
MMike

No way!?

Chester-for sure a stunt man.

Marshall Dillon-a stunt man? Who'd a thunk it.

Next they'll be saying Chuck Norris used a stunt man-please don't let that be true.

For a very long time, I didn't know that James Arnett was the brother of the white haired mission impossible guy-what was his name?

Don't mean to derail original intent of thread-just that Marshal Dillon and stunt man seemed strange in the same sentence.

take care

I don't know about James Arnett but James Arness is older brother of Peter Graves.
