This may or may not of help, but it's a fairly easy and cheap setup.
Stick two reinforcer donut 2 1/4" apart point ing
towards the inside ( thin hit ) part of a pocket.

Here's another cheap aiming assist tool.

Have a bent magic rack you aren't using anymore?

Cut a piece out that holds two balls.

Line up the two holes to any pocket. Place an object ball on the closest hole to the pocket, the other hole is a perfect shot line ghost ball/contact point device.

The only problem with the sticky holes is that you can't (easily) move them around.......That is why I made this.

Move it around to any shot on the table and you have multiple references to aim and track line reference.....as well as a quick reference to tangent line (for someone that has a hard time seeing tangent line)...........

However.....what it is really best at is demonstrating how knowing precise contact points and aiming systems "don't" work...........by themselves.....due to speed of shot and CIT.

It is a good reference tool for dialing in (brain memory) for those problem shot angles...you just can't see correctly......It is also good at demonstraiting how the margin of error gets way smaller the thiner the cut
