The show "time warp" is just starting. They will have a segment on what happens when running the table. It is a slow motion analysis of various events,

Check it out!

the break

The break clearly showed the cue ball in the air when it contacted the one ball. That makes it very easy to see how it goes straight up or goes flying off the table if it is hit too far to the side on the one ball.

Nothing that wasn't already known, interesting that the video clearly confirms it.

Sorry about the buildup. They really did not go into any depth.I do not know why I thought for once they might.

They showed a break shot, a stop shot with a ton of unnecessary side spin, a draw shot, and a simple masse shot. Oh yeah and the real challenge : jumping a coin into a shot glass off the rail:rolleyes: . So tough the host made it ( supposedly on the first try).

Nothing real mind blowing on this one. If you happen to catch it, you probably won't turn the channel. Just don't go out of your way to track it down. You'll be disappointed.

Very Cool

I just saw the segment of time warp and was gonna start a post myself. The Break. Stop and Spin (I was wondering why all the spin myself. guess a simple stop wasn't enuf action) Draw shot and The Masse.

very enjoyable to watch. (Noone ever seems to rack the balls that tight for me)

They have some really nice slow motion camera equipment

Well that sucks that they didn't go in depth on many things.

OTOH, I record the show because I like it for what it is.
Thanks for the review on the pool segment.

I saw it too. Great camera work. Any exposure of pool on tv is a good thing!

Yes, I agree. It just gets so frustrating that we are so starved for ANY coverage that we will get excited over even the promise of a mention on tv, let alone decent or worthy coverage.

It irritates me that golf gets AN ENTIRE CHANNEL, but pool is lucky to get an honorable mention anywhere.

To be fair, the segment wasn't that bad. I was just hoping against hope that it would really good!

For someone who has never seen a masse shot, it could be just the kind of thing that may spark an interest and get a new player to the table. That is ALWAYS a good thing!:D

Trying to stay positive!

I just watched it and one thing that nobody mentioned....the player they used for the segment was AZBILLIARDS member Liz Ford!

Thanks for tuning me into this show. I never heard of it until I read this thread, but I love the concept. This might become my second-favorite show on the Discovery Channel. CASH CAB RULES

I'm sure there's a whole bunch of people on some Liquids forum all upset about their segment, too.

There's a joke in there somewhere. I'll be pissed if I overlook it.

the "ONE" cool thing about At&t Uverse is I can set my guide to record any show from any computer. So when I am supposed to be working I am here on the forum and I can check out the show to record it from my desk ....Pretty cool! Only thing is I can find any episode (in description) for running a pool rack. There are 4 different ones. "Samurai Sword", "Taser", "Human Crash test dummy", and "Free Runner" Which if any is it?

It was w/ Samurai. Free Runner had the liquid forum people angry.

Yeah, the Liquid forum is out of control. Don't bother going to the NLR section. They're all maniacs.

Wow! this is getting fun.
