Cloth face or not?

Championship Mercury cloth, it's not in precut so it doesn't have the stickers that tell me what side's what.

How do I tell which side is the face?

Thanks

Look at the edge of the cloth for the black stiching line, that's the playing surface side as it's not on the back side of the cloth.

unmarked cloth

before you cut the cloth into rail cloth mark the back side with a pencil mark.

If you forget to mark it or were brain dead @the moment rember the first rule in table covering ---- Shiny side up --- shiny side up--

the dull side or fuzzier side goes against the slate and or cushions side of the rail.

I have been doing tables for 10 years and my friend for 20 years and every now and then we forget to mark them and put one on backwards.

best of luck with the table covering

Thanks for the quick reply

Thanks for the quick replies.

I saw the black stitch and thought that was the bottom. Well at least I only got one rail done before I decided to ask you guys.

Thanks again.

You're welcome

I remember last Christmas I was at the shop at 4am. I was working from 4am to midnight the previous day. I don't know why but I covered 6 rails in Simonis upside down. Precut with stickers. I even remember seeing a shiny side in the right direction and flipping it over so dull side up.

When I discovered that I was pissed off. Luckily it was Tournament green simonis and we had spare rail cloth. It was only an 8ft table.
