read about this in shamos' book, he said there isn't much info. out there bout it..anybody here 'hip? I read it was founded in 1916, but that's all I got.

I did a quick search in the newspaper archive and didn't find any mention of that group anywhere. Was that the exact name Shamos used?

I saw a painting of the group in Chicago, it was owned by another collector, I believe it had all the names of the original members on it. I tried to get a photograph and the guy was an emphatic no. Too bad, I haven't heard from him in years and I am pretty sure he was around my age and single, he had a very nice collection, probably ended up in the land fill
