WPBA.COM reports that Tony Crosby has beaten Earl Strckland by an impressive score of 11 - 4. Equally impressive is that Sandor Tot has beaten Rodney Morris to earn a match against Tony in winners bracket third round action, with the winner guaranteed a ninth place finish.

Nice going, Tony. Keep up the good work.

Outstanding job Tony. Next beer is on me when I get there! I hear you hung out with my Staten Island buddy the other night. He called and said ya'll had a good time hanging out and watching the matches.
 
Tony always seems like a really nice guy and winning or losing he keeps a good attitude. I once beat him to nine by the score of 9 to 7 at a South East Tour event. Unfortunately for me the race was to 11 that day and he won the last four games in a row to win the match 11-9. :)

I haven't spent an abundance of time with Tony, but we do have a mutual friend which is how we met and were all together the few times I've been around him... I can say that anytime I've ever been around him, he's been nothing less than a perfect gentleman. Always laughing and always kind.
 
Congratulations to Tony it sounds like he was pretty much in deadstroke. Sander Tot defeating Rodney Morris was described on another forum as being a big upset. IMO, this is not the case, Sander has had an impressive year over in Europe including winning back to back Eurotour stops which is damn good considering the quality of the fields on the Eurotour. Good luck to both the rest of the way.

Earl didnt realy upset me during the match. I think he put some of the other players of on the tables last night, He was great after the match shook my hand and told me i played great and wished me luck in the tournament.
I can see hi frustration when losing with alternate break, I just think if you are down you need a little luck and have to stick to your guns and stay positive.
Jones was 6-1 down to Garcia and got it back to 9-9 and hill hill so it not impossible. Although he did lose the match.
