I know hit is subjective but do you think there is a different feel between no A joint cues, full splice?, and cues with an A joint ? I have 3 different constructed cues,a Dieckman 3c cue, no Ajoint, a molinari laminated butt, no a joint cue and a Kilby with an A joint. The Dieckman seems to feel, more solid , like a tank, the Kilby has a more controlled, softer hit and the molinari is a whole different feel. Trying to decide which one to use as main player,Not saying any is better but just looking for some facts from builders to back up my claim, thanks

Those facts you are looking for can't be proven, shoot with the stick that you think feels the best for your game.

The "Feel" as you mentioned in your original post is totally subjective. IMHO the "Feel" is affected by the type and quality of wood used and the "Quality" of construction and the shaft taper, ferrule, and tip more than the type of construction. A cue with a well made "A" joint can "Feel" just as "solid" as any other type of construction. As for your final question. I agree completely with deadbeat... Play with the cue that you "feel" most comfortable with.

If all three cues are Carom(Billiard) then is slightly different because you are pushing heavier balls, shaft taper is closer to a straight taper. Whichever moves the cue ball on the difficult shots best would be my choice, no matter the Joint type :)
