Cory Duel doing it all

Well last night I thought I saw it all until watching Cory play Joyner one pocket getting 10-6 but Cory had to use the bridge every shot. Well he has that mastered as he killed Cliff in a match watched by at least 100 people.
Well that is not the best. Today Cory is playing a ghost, whereas he breaks the balls for his pocket, takes ball in hand and then must run out all 15 balls in his pocket. He is betting $200 a game and getting 5 to 1 on the money. He is now up $2200 and he had to quit to play a match. He will be back doing it again when he is done. He made some amazing runs and if not for some bad rolls or if he could bank just a little better he would be up more. His cue ball control is impeccable and he has no fear and nerves of steel. He is putting on quite an exhibition.
Going back to watch some more.

P.S. If no one else posted it, Parica won the one handed one pocket mini tournament.

Thanks for the update, nfty9er! :) Glad to hear Jose Parica got a little score at the mini tournament upstairs. Those mini tournaments occur throughout the DCC, and it's enjoyed by quite a few players of all caliber!

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it, but I think Corey Deuel plays better with that doggone rake than he does with his two hands. He is phenomenal!

I got a taste of Corey's action at a Viking Season Finale a few years ago when Earthquake propositioned him, stating he'd play him EVEN one-handed and Corey had to use that bridge. Well, I guess I don't have to tell you how it turned out.

You can see who the winner was by the huge grin on his face! ;)

That mini was not on the upstairs bar boxes, it was on the 9 footers in the main room and it was amazing what some of these guys can do, including Ronnie Allen who can still play with the best of them one handed even as drunk as he gets by Midnight or so.

This is my sixth attempt to post, Nfty9er! I should have realized a one-pocket tournament wouldn't be played on bar boxes! :o

Could you find out anything more about the documentary? Thanks in advance.

I take it Cory is taking a corner pocket? Pretty dang strong to be up 2200. I may try to do that sometime just as a practice.

Playing with a bridge is nothing, I been doing it since I was 13. Of course I have my own bridge. Would love to enter one of those one handed tourneys, I feel I may match up a little better, but then again, some of those guys shoot so strong it does not matter.

I played Corey a few weeks ago down in Houston for chump change, and I can confirm that he is playing lights-out. He was playing like a champ on triple-shimmed table, running out left and right without even trying. I certainly liked his chances before the Tour Championship, and he seems to only be playing better.

We just got back from a local weekly tourney, and a couple of DCC attendees had just got back last night from the event.

They said they witnessed a great match, Race to 11(?), between Luat and Corey, Rotation 15 Ball, a popular game in the Philippines, and the documentary folks were right there front and center, recording it all. Must have been one GREAT set. BTW, Luat won that round!

Does anyone know what Luat and Corey played the set for? If anyone remembers Luat one alot of tournaments from 94-97 and he beat C.J for 30,000.

I heard it was for 3 large, but it's only hearsay! :p
