Cue Ball and Object Ball Frozen in Jaws of Pocket, What is the Ruling?

Rotation game, lowest object ball and cue ball are jawed in corner, neither suspended, both on playing surface.

If a ball was legally pocketed on the shot where this resulted, how does the shooter play this? If no ball was made, how does the incoming player play it?

Thanks.

Must be big pockets. If I couldn’t figure out a cool masse shot to make it I guess I would play safe by thinning the jawed ball and hooking you. What did you do?

Jack up and masse the CB out of the pocket, shooting partly toward the OB so the outside spin throws it into the pocket.

EDIT: I think this is called a "piquet" (pee-kay) shot, as Jay says below.

P.S. I have no idea if this actually works. A normal full masse shot is probably more reliable if you can shoot it.

Pretty obvious - you must play the CB out of the pocket, off the ball It’s frozen to, in hopes of hooking opponent behind another ball. Only other thing you could do is pick up the CB and hand it to your opponent.

You could actually make the object ball with a "piquet" stroke (holding the cue straight up in the air) and spinning off the object ball with outside english. I've seen it done by a very good Three Cushion player. Bill Smith (mr3cushion I think) who posts on here could probably make this shot.

Are they both frozen to each other and the cushion? How big are the pockets?

In theory the shot can be legally made with a double kiss but you have to be careful not to double hit the cue ball. You can also hit Jay's shot and jack up and spin the ball back although the cue ball could follow it in if you aren't careful. Kind of difficult to give an answer without a picture.

He certainly knows the shot and could make it, but it is more a straight rail or balkline shot. On good equipment you don't have to hit it hard:

I've seen Allen Hopkins practicing this shot.

Here's a fancier way...
