cue holders , for the pool room

I have one of all the types shown so far. The first one, the plastic one is prone to scratching the cue. The leather one is nice but the suction cup will not work right and the holder does not really HOLD the cue. The Q Claw and similar types work good but they don't provide HOLD the cue either. That is they don't provide a really secure hold on the cue if it gets even slightly bumped. Frankly I can't find a good one...one that holds the cue in something soft, attaches firmly to the table or chair or whatever, does not drop the cue if it gets bumped and one that doesn't take up a whole bunch of room in the cue case.

Laying the cue case across a table or chair and having it hang over the edge and then leaning the cue against it is, imo, the best and easiest solution. This after I've bought 6 or 7 different holders. Duh?

There's a new product that will be hitting the market next week. It is patented and made in Illinois by one man. I will offer them for sale in the near future. It's called the "Q-Buddy" It's very versitile, by that I mean it can be placed on a table, back of a chair, on a rail or pretty much anywhere. I'll get some photos taken this weekend and post them on AZ and www.zimsrack.com. It will retail for $20! Other than this, I HIGHLY recommend the Q Claw. Yes it doesn't "hold" your cue, but that has it's positive points also. No knicks in your shaft! It's very portable and very stable!

I have one of the prototypes and will start marketing it next week. It's pretty simple, but very versatile. Photos coming soon...

Dandy reply: I have a 3x6 and carry 2 meucci pp-4's and a Schuler I break with
and 8 shafts. In my long pouch is my masse and jump cue butts. I use 4 cues.

When my pp-4 and Schuler are assembled I arrange the shafts to be sticking out about 6" so the cue can stand straight up between two shafts with no pressure on the shaft but can not be knocked over and I just lay the case on a table. I put the pp play cue between 2 shafts and the break cue between two on both ends of the case. It works perfect and I don't have to lug around one of these stupid heavy cue holder blocks you end up leaving behind eventually any way.

The one I like the best of the 10 or so I've owned is the Q Clip from Seyberts. It "holds" the cue firmly in soft foam and clips to the table. It does take up quite a bit of space in the cue case and would not fit in most cases. It would have to hang from the outside. But it works good.

Looking forward to seeing yours Zim. I love gadgets!

I've invented one that weighs less than an ounce, holds two cues securely, two more ok, clamps to the table in less than 3 seconds, will not scratch the cues, accepts your cue in about 1/2 second, can secure cue 100% by placing butt through holder, or secure your cue quickly with just a push of it into the holder with about 95% protection, and I will sell one for $20. Oh yeah, it looks cool, too, and gets me lots of compliments and questions of, "Where can I get one of those?"

It is so light and small, that sometimes I've thought I've forgotten it at home when I'm looking for it in my soft cue case.

IM me is you want one....I'll have to make it for you, though.

Hi Guys,

I took a photo with my new camera phone and am trying to email myself, but so far it isn't working.

I'll either get someone else to take a photo or else I'll make 2 or 3 more and send them to you guys and let you evaluate them.

I've had others test about 10 of these so far (most lost them or left them behind in bars) and I think they've been proven. I'd love to have you try them , too, and give me good quality feedback.

Zim, I've got about 10 other inventions dealing with pool, too, that I've made for myself. I've considered marketing several of these, but time and money get in the way. Maybe I should look into it more? How about I come to St. Louis and we can do lunch and bang a few balls, too?...or meet you halfway?
