Cue question? Please advise!

Hi everybody,

Well, I finally bought my first custom cue. It looks like a modified sneaky pete. My question is this, the points on the cue are not all even. Is this a sign of bad worksmanship? Also, where the points and forearm meets or interlocks, there seem to be a chip on all of them at the bottom. Is this another sign of a bad workmanship?

Although the finish of the cue is awesome, I just felt that I got ripped off paying $520 because i ordered it with one of his custom shaft.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ryan

Have you brought these details and concerns to the cue makers attention.

No, I just received the cue today. I do not know anything about cues! This is the reason I wanted an advice just so that the cue maker does not give me a bs answer.

Thank you for your time Mr. Webb. If I know what I know now, believe me, I would have bought a cue from you. They look and hit great.

Some points are designed uneven, but you'll know it when you see one but if yoyrs just seems to a tad short for the other to the next then maybe it wasn't done right.

The chips are bad workmanship, haven't heard of such design if your cuemaker would defend it.

Better ask him about your complaints and see what he does with it, give him a chance to replace it or whatever...

Thank you Sir:
But if some thing doesn't look right to you, those are very important concerns.
First rule of thumb is, if your happy atleast 20 people will hear about it. If your not happy 200 people will hear about it. Unless the cue maker is an absolute ass. Trust me he'll care. We as cue makers and craftsmen need you the consumer. You do not need us if we can't take care of you. If the cue maker blows you off, feel free to send me the cue. I will help any way possible.

So well said

Michael,
I must tip my hat off to you. That was so well said and so true. The old adage you used is actually an entire lesson in Nordsrtom's mamagment training program, with that title. Thanks for giving the a cuemakers a standard to live up to.
