Cue Tips: What you like

layered tips seem to give more action but its all pref.

I prefer to use layered on players , and block on breakers most of the time. IMO super pros work very well on breakers if the set up is right.

I have to agree, but, as far as I'm concerned, layered tips are like talking movies, once the first one was made, the silent films were washed up.

I always played with a Triangle.... Up until about 6 weeks age I put a moori on. I am so screwed up with english. It will take some getting used to but it sure puts the sauce on the ball.. I agree with the personal pref statement. Different strokes for different folks.

I prefer the layered but not for playability but for consistancy. With a block tip you never know what you are getting from one to the next. With layered tips they all play similarily from one tip (within a brand) to another.

I myself like a Triangle that has been pressed again for my personal cue.
But a couple of the layered tips are a close second.

I never found another tip that offers the same control as a Karomi tip. English is when you want it, where you want it. (For me, at least.) It doesn't mushroom as much as some of the others, either. That could also be partly because I'm less inclined to punch the ball, when I know I have control of my shot.

Layered. Pressed Moori medium. I'm sure I would like maybe some of the other layered tips just havent had the chance to play very much with them to notice a difference.

Sniper, Moori & Kamui tips (all layered) are at the top of the food chain although there are many tips to choose from that will provide consistency. Consistency is the name of the game.
