Custom made cue with a reverse R logo in the butt 4 points with veneers

I forget the cue makers name, but I am wondering if any of you cue experts out there know how much the cue is worth?

I really love the cue, and think it is very beautiful.

Thinking about trading it for my Billy Webb - Spider Web cue, but I think the seller will not cash added to the trade.

Please give me your opinion on if it would be a fair even trade, or should I need to add cash to my Billy Webb cue below.

I am just not too smart about making good decisions on cue trades, and just want to know what a fair deal would be.

I really do not like the South West style of hit, and just want something that hits different (not as stiff of a hit).

Thanks for your feedback on the reverse R cue, or any other thoughts about the trade I am thinking about.

I think this cue looks a lot better than the B Webb cue you have. I love the natural linen look. For the hit, have you played with it already? It looks like it will have a pretty stiff hit with that joint, but depends on the shaft also.

If you read the bluebook entry, they have a reverse R logo and the cue in the picture look similar.

Don't know about value but that cue was made when Jim was alive as the logo changed for the cues after he died. I would guess the cue has more collector value than the new ones. This post has some info, the asking price was 1,000 http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=106710 and the cue you posted looks to have similar amount of work in it.

If you like how it plays, an even trade may not be out of the question, if the Webb cue is $1,500 it's a few 100 more than the Auerbach. Myself, if I like how a cue plays and looks better than the one I have, I'd take a bit of a loss on a trade. From the info I found, you should not need to add any cash to the trade, the other way in fact, the B Webb looks to be worth more. You may need to see if Billy's cues drop in value a lot or not, even if they do, a $1,500 cue from a known maker should not drop to under $1,000.

The cuemaker is John Parker of Auerbach Custom Cues in Tulsa, OK.

There is a similar cue in the Blue Book of Cues, 3rd Edition on page 134, that retails for $850

My friend has a cue with the same logo. It's definately an Auerbach cue, or like he calls it an R back cue.
