Does anyone know how to identify a Tibbits? What are some of the markings he has used over the years?

Yep. He has used a couple of different signatures over the years. If you can post a pic of the cue in question, I can get it verified for you.

I have seen Tibbitts with Italic initials, but not block letter...that is not to say that he did not sign some cues this way. Most of his cues have extra long points. Post some pics when you get it.

It's possible, but try to get pictures and post them before you buy. If I'm not positive, I can take the photos to Danny and get verification straight from the horse's mouth.

He has used Italics as well as block letters, and just the initials DT as well as his whole last name. And...you're right, one of the key features his cues are known for is extra long, thin, needle sharp points.

I was told it has six ebony points long and thin.No venneers.Ivory diamonds in the points as well as the butt.Ivory dash rings and a flat face ivory joint.I am waiting to here if the cue rolls straight and true.
