I normally just come on here and read what is going on in the pool world and dont post very often. But this is really annoying that a thread about a couple of the best players in the world playing for at least 20,000 gets turned into some stupid typing conversation or a credit score. Which is nothing but someone boasting about how much better they are than everyone else at something that has NOTHING to do with POOL. Why is it that every good thread has to be ruined with this nonsense? And please dont come on here woofing at me to get up and play some or anything like that because im just a b player that loves the game and hates reading all this nonsense.

Actually the original thread was pool related, not about typing. Who the hell cares about typing anyway??? I guess more people like it than care about Rodney Morris v Appleton, but with the people on here it doesnt really surprise me much anymore. I have been begging to go broke on here for months now, and each time I put up a thread, it gets diverted the same way. I think I am going to be the asshole that comes onto other peoples threads and ruins them. Ill probably get banned in a week, but I guess it would be better than going bust. I would rather go bust. Ill stake Bartram playing any body on earth if we can get close to a 50/50 game. Watchez is your boy Begman ready yet? Vette dont you have someone else you can put in to steal our money? Ill stake John Schmidt playing Alex some straight pool again. Appleton you can play Corey some on a bar box. Somebody please do something besides talk about typing.

I cant bet exactly 820 as its likely to move a few points up or down in the coming months especially since I'm in the middle of buying my new house. There are also 3 different bureaus we could use. I'll gamble a little and bet its above 800.

Wow, I knew you were good, but I would have never thought you would take that bet (+15) over Morris or Appleton.

actually Darren & Donny just played a few weeks ago in Florida & I believe it was 10 ball. If I'm mistaken Donny can correct me on it but I thought I heard both of them say this.

Welcome to the forum. It's a shame that one of your first 10 posts since your join date of January 2009 is on this thread. Sometimes on this forum, as well as every single other forum I have ever participated in, threads take twists and turns. It is inevitable when you have a variety of personalities as members.

That said, I am pleased that you are an "equal opportunity" critic of this thread when you include your disdain of the conversation about the credit score.

One outspoken poster on this thread claimed they did not care for the typing conversation, went off on a tangent on how the thread should be about gambling with the above-referenced pool players, but it was fine and dandy with this same poster to continue a conversation about one's credit score. Oh, the irony of it all.

I refuse to apologize for my participation and contributions to a conversation about typing. I have read MANY, MANY, MANY threads on this forum that ended up in a topic that had nothing to do with the OP's original post.

May I respectfully suggest that if you find these threads offensive, just don't read them. I can assure you of one thing. This won't be the first time a thread has gone off topic, and it definitely won't be the last.

Actually, Corvette, coming from you, a forum member with multiple forum identities, two of which have been banned in the past -- The Baby's Arm and TommyUGA -- maybe you should think long and hard before you hit the Reply button. How many times has the Corvette identity been banned? One or two? Did you receive any advice at the time when you were banned as Corvette?

Agreed. JAM is sweet, as Smorgie always reminded me. He wanted to call me "YAM," instead of "JAM." I miss Smorgie a lot. He has been a good friend to me on the Internet for many years, and I miss his presence immensely.

Sometimes people don't know when to put on the brakes and quit. The sad thing is when people drive recklessly, it hurts many other entities, all for the sake of one brief moment of poor judgment. I wonder why it seems worth it at the time when the end result usually hurts others.

I only have had problems with posters who seem to take glee in hurting other people's feelings. When all else fails, then they attack their loved ones, innocent parties in the mix.
