Diamond Tables in Southern CA?

I was wondering if anyone knows where there might be a few 9' Diamond tables to practice on somewhat close to Corona, CA.

I know that the OC Sports Grill, over by Angel Stadium, used to have a few, but I heard that they took them out and put bar boxes in. That is the only time I've played on the 9' Diamond tables and I loved them. They played much tougher than most of the Gold Crowns and other tables in the pool rooms around here and I was hoping to be able to get more table time on them if I can find one.

If anyone knows of anything or has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike

Butera's in Moorpark, Ca
The Cue Ball in Alhambra, Ca (with original Pro Billiards Tour Diamond Tables)

is all I know.

Mike,

There are no 9ft Diamonds in Orange County now that OC Sports Grill took theirs out and replaced them with the bar boxes. I have heard that Styx in Rancho Cucamonga has some, as well as Society Billiards in San Diego. Either way, it is a bit of a drive, and I would call either place to confirm because I am only going off of things I have heard.

If you want a tough table to play on, go to Hard Times and play on one or Ernesto's 4" pocketed GCI.

:)

I believe they have an older Diamond at Sticks, not sure though. There's Buteras in Moorpark, and they have the new rail design specs. No other 9-footers that I know of.

The 9-footers have been removed from the OC Sports Grill and replaced with 7-footers. There is going to be Tournament there on May-5, $25 entry and $200 added, open to anyone, limit 64 players.

The tables at Hardtimes are tight but play different from Diamonds, actually opposite. They have 4" pockets with parallel pockets. The 4 inch pocket makes it harder to make a shot from center and the parallel pockets make it easier to make rail shots. The Diamonds have 4.5" pockets which make the center table shots easier, and with bottleneck pocket and deep shelves makes the rail shot more difficult.
