Disappearing Pool Table

Just found this thought it was pretty cool cant find it on here sorry if its been posted in the past.

I'm curious what a table mechanic would have to say about this. I wish I knew more about allowances for leveling but I simply don't. I would imagine it would require a pretty advanced self-leveling mechanism. It's a really fun idea but how practical it would be is another story.

I love the idea. I think I will put one in my garage and if I need to work on my car I can just park it over the table and use it as a lift. Duel purpose, you can't beat that.

I like that!

I wonder what the $$$ cost for that room makeover! LOL What if you were standing on the spot and someone hit that button? Oops, down you go!

I thought about this too, but you'd be amazed at how exact you can get pneumatic lifts....And form the sound of it, these were electric lifts, which are even MORE precise. At least, from what I've seen.

How precise would they need to be? I mean, I know you're not supposed to level a table until it's been sitting in the same spot for about two weeks. It needs time to settle. What COULD cause this to not be level? What would it take to recalibrate the lifts? The bottom line is, as cute as this may be, it could end up costing an arm and a leg to maintain. I can see this being ideal for the casual player who may not care about exactness but the serious player might not be happy.
