Has anyone ever seen a match(accustats or otherwise) between these two speedsters, or did you go to the bathroom and miss it...LOL.

It would be an intresting match to watch for sure.Other than these two, who are some of pools other fastest players? RJ

Speed? You have to mention the Rocket, Rodney Morris. Dude runs racks faster than I can lap the table!

Of course, Luc Salvas. Also, Joe Lawrence from years back. McCready ain't slow running out, either.

Im relatively sure they have never played each other. It would almost have to have been in the WPC and it would have gotten lots of publicity. I dont think it could have slipped by me. Maybe next year- Im dying to see it too.

I think Drago is the fastest. He hardly does any warm up strokes. Makes one wonder how he aims and aligns.

Drago is pretty amazing. I actually got to play him at snooker, in London, years back. Well, actually, I pretty much spotted colors, while he pretty much made consistent 100 point breaks, just fooling around. Really nice guy and REALLY fast.

Adios,

Your saying you like your chances even up Vag or are you saying you are willing to lose some just to get to play him?

He really is an excellent guy. I have never heard a bad word about him and 3/4 yrs ago in Cardiff when he was assured of 8th, he picked up the check for a dinner party of 8 which included me whom he barely knew for a day. Nice guy. I wish he would come over to the States- He would be a big hit here and very good for the game as a whole.

Salvas is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and Drago seems like a super nice guy as well. They haven't matched up yet but I'm sure they will eventually and when they do it would be a must see matchup, defintely no bathroom breaks for that one!

Danny wasn't slow ...

Just imagine one of them playing Basavich.

Danny wasn't particularly slow when he came through my town,
and hung around the area for about 4 months. He did take extra
time on difficult shots, and shot them extremely well.

I improved 'my eye' a lot by shooting rolling ball shots. You
know the ones that roll past the foot spot before you cut
them into either corner. I used to have a little fun with
good players that weren't particularly fast players in making
them shoot rolling ball competitions, and to watch them
really struggle with the timing of shooting rolling balls shots.
Sometimes, it was pretty funny, seeing them try to think
about how they could shoot the ball in time and the speed
of the object ball. Back in the 'old' days, there used to be
rolling ball competitions on which player could make the most
consecutively. I believe, the world record on a big table was
11 consecutively without a miss.

Frenchy plays about as fast if not faster then Salvas. Not quite as good, but he is still pretty strong.

Being from Canada, I'm pretty sure he is talking about Alain Boutin "Frenchie" from Vancouver, B.C Canada.
He's a Pro player who can string together a few racks in a row at lightining speed, however, a notch down from todays touring pros who are more consistent.he is very exciting to watch for sure.

One time Ronnie Wiseman pushed me to play him.I felt that there was a scheme going on and declined in a very polite manner.

I dont know that he is coming to the States-He has said he wants to but he may want to get sponsored first.

I am not a good friend of Tony's but he should remember and trust me. I will propose this match if i see him.

I like your style regarding lateniks. I'm the same way.

Only in pool- Even in tournaments they will hold up the whole thing to wait for some jerk who couldnt get out of bed. Not if i was in charge.

OK Vagabond -Cya somewhere-dont hold your breath though on Tony coming here unless you know something I don't.

Frenchie is a very talented player and in deadstroke could beat ANYONE in any given set.As mentioned before the great pro's of today would beat him the majority of the time. He's definitly not world class, however, he can show flashes. He's not young anymore and doesn't play enough to offer much consistency.

I'm not sure why you dodged playing him when Wiseman was trying to set up a match. How long ago was that?

Anyways, if you feared(losing or otherwise??) playing Frenchie, I'd be terrified of Drago. The two of them are probably an even match speed wise, however, Drago is definitly world class and has proved it with strong finishes at the WPC's and in winning the World pool Masters. When he's in stroke, he's frightning.

You must have a hell of a game yourself, if your willing to play Tony for big cash.If you are that talented, my hat goes off to you.Take care, RJ
