Earl should have to play with a cue he whittles himself out of a nearby sapling... and can't wear any gear. That would even things up. They could adjust to add shooting glasses or ass-weights to change the spot if Joe has it too easy.

Hey - any ideas as to how you'd envision this going down? I put a few ideas out there on a prior post (re-quoted below). Whatcha think?

What might an agreeable match look like?

3 disciplines, short-ish races, with fair handicaps. Target time-length of a couple hours or so.

Reasonable sharking allowed. Costumes and props? Coaching? Give Joe a coach that can provide some limited input? Timeouts for comedic relief permitted.

Make it a ton of fun, but keep the competitive juices of the 2 competitors flowing. Make 'em want to win, but not so much anyone will get too wrapped up to miss the overall purpose - entertainment and promotion.

There's no way Joe didn't anticipate this happening. Good fair spot(and Joe mentions the be keepers outfit)and Joe will take earls night into a Bi-polar storm.

For anyone taking it too seriously they shouldnt its obviously in fun and good spirited!

I have to say as I did in another thread, Earl has been different and very different! his attitude and charm was amazing in Michigan at our event. he laughed at himself and of course others, he enjoyed himself playing amateur 8 ball on bar tables with a team of BB players and never got goofy!

Earl made jokes about himself and made everyone and I mean everyone fall in love with him, his play and his personality!

If he continues with this, not only could this be fun because Earl would laugh at joe and also poke fun back but it could be HUGE for pool because yes, it could open more mainstream eyes because of Joe!

Earl as we all know has had blow ups but, lets give him his props when he tries to improve and he is and has!!

Mark, AWESOME idea!! if you need help just let me know and I'll do what i can to promote it and get anything you need done!

Can you imagine the fodder for your blog? Your blog writing is the nuts!

A couple of ideas though:

1. Live Stream it . PAY-PER-VIEW and all PPV fees going to the charity of the winner's choice.

2. Advertise the Live Stream way in advance.

3. Advertise that you and Earl will donate your earnings to a charity of the winner's choice.

4. Advertise that you will bring some "material" to the match and that Earl will do the same.

5. Offer to accept donations to the prize fund for the charity's benefit.

6. Make sure you keep me in the loop.

If it is at a tournament that I am attending, I will donate my time to do commentary. I will be the straight man but will need a true comedian/comedienne to complete the commentary.

BTW, you're a good sport and I see that you truly admire Earl Strickland. I hope the two of you (and Mark Cantrill) find a way to pull this off.

It could be good for pool and a lot of fun for all.

Ah Mr Rogan, I was wondering when we was going to hear from you. I have seen that you can run a rack therefore the weight isn't going to be anything silly. I need to find a few sponsors to make this happen so we can get the expenses covered. I would like to see the guys actually play for something that they can go home with and also take a chunk of the money and give it to the Shriners or the Sunshine kids (Kids with Cancer)

I am thinking Vegas is probably the best place to do this. I think there is a pool room there that has a sunken pit that would be perfect but lets see when you can do it Joe as I know u are a busy guy.

Also I have a question for everyone. baring in mind that we will get alot of attention do we ban the F Word or any real bad language so as to attract people from outside the pool world and have a clean image? or do we jusyt say F*&k it and let Oe and Earl yap and say whatever they want?
