PRICE DROP Extremely rare Original George Balabushka pool cue original NYLON WRAP
LOA from Pete Tascarella describing the cue's rarity. Up for sale is an extremely rare one of a kind Original George Balabushka custom pool cue. The price is now $8500. This cue is in all original condition and is very rare for the following reasons- It has an original George Balabushka nylon wrap which you can see from the pictures from all 3 Blue Book of Cues how extremely rare his nylon wraps were, there are very few if any original nylon wraps still in existence, because they were only put on some of the first cues George made and nylon is easily frayed , , becomes stained from sweat or just unravels and or new wraps were put on and many Bushka owners liked the Cortland linen wraps and had the wraps changed. The second thing which makes this cue rare are the white linen joint collar and shaft rings (Pete told me he's seen less than 6. Lastly the cue has an acrylic butt sleeve which also is somewhat rare as most of his butt sleeves were wood. Pete Tascarella actually described the rarity and that the cue was highly collectible in the second to the last sentence of his LOA ( which is also somewhat rare, I've seen scores of Tascarella LOA's and I don't think I've ever seen a statement of a cue's rarity and collectibility mentioned).
This cue is straight together and apart with the butt and both shafts. All of the cue's spec's are listed in the LOA but please feel free to ask any questions. This cue will be shipped Insured for $8500 shipped USPS Registered mail ( Registered mail takes several days more but is the safest way to ship anything, it is used to ship gold, diamonds etc. every day. Anyone who touches it must sign for it during shipping and it is stored in a safe until it reaches it's final destination) I also spoke to Richard Black last week, he's done over 100 Balabushka LOA's and he said he had only seen 2 nylon wraps in his life and had never seen any Balabushka cues with white linen trim collars.
