Fancy Mcdaniel on ebay

I am so shocked at the rate the cue market are deteriorating.. Its too bad tat this cue had to end up on ebay. The winner of auction will walk home with one hell of a deal..

just curious...

i know this to be a famous Szamboti design that a lot of cuemakers today have copied (be it in tribute or whatever) but i have to admit, though i have seen other designs from Bill McDaniel before, it seems like he churns this one out with a regularity that begins to make him largely uncreative in my eyes. am i alone in thinking that?

It doesn't look like the cue will not have to travel very far since another Singaporean bidder "erraticz" keep bumping up the bid as soon as another person is the high bidder.

My free bump for the thread

My guess on the location of the bidder and seller- the bidder is a buddy bidder! To help keep the price going up!

It's too bad if thats the case cause I was real money to 1865.00 and was just out bid by that erratiz or whatever. I don't do second chance offers.

Don't think he's been churning out much of anything as of late. Actually, you may be seeing some of these same cues over and over again. Not sure of the exact number of "Lazy Z" cues made to date, but I suspect it's only around 20-25 or so. I agree with your point. IMO, Bill kind of shot himself in the foot by keeping his production line of cues rather than strictly custom stuff. He facilitated a perception of "production line" rather than custom. You know, the old saying "it's all about the perception" can't be more true. Look at Black Boar. They ditched their standard line and went super low numbers, super fancy...this among other reasons has kept their market and demand up. Sahem, too. Bill is one of the world's best cuemakers. He's forgot more about cues than many will ever know...

I don't post much but I don't like others assuming stuff about me. I'm the person bidding on the Mcdaniel and the only reason I did was cause I know the actual cost of the cue and I am trying to get a gd deal like everyone else. Just cause I am in Singapore doesn't mean I am shrilling the bid. Don't be so quick to judge. I will even tell u how much I am prepared to go. I am prepared only to pay up to 2100USD for the cue so if anyone is prepared to pay more than that, the cue is yours.
Anyway, if I remember correctly, the cue was around the 3000 USD region brand new.

I has tested the cue for a few shots and it hit great, it's also look stunning in person. Even at $2100, this cue as what Cueaddicts put it, IT'S A STEAL.

I will jump at it if my new SW didn't come in not long ago.

In addition to that, Scorpion is a honest seller and erratic is a honest buyer. I know them both personally.

i've seen it and i think it looks class!

pretty its not my cup of tea ;) but scorpion and erraticz are good pple! :)

The local forums are not doing too good and the main one is down. So guess thats how they have to find out abt the cue down here.
