The results from the Fast Eddie's Houston tournament are as follows:
1st - Javier Franco
2nd - Gabe Owen
3rd - Rigo Pena
4th - Jeremy Jones
5th-6th - Cliff Joyner and ?

Congrats to Franco.....He showed a little heart in the hill-hill battle with Gabe.

Gabe is Wichita's own, and a terrific player. A very fine 1 pocket player and a 9 ball player. He just came back from Detroit where he beat everyone up there.

His Dad, Bob, is partners in Shurtz Custom Cues with Jack Shurtz here, and makes all of the cues. Bob made my cue.

Gabe's brother Robert plays also, but not like Gabe, and is getting his masters from Georgia Tech.

All 3 are nice guys to know.

Gabe's Mom Kathy is a nice lady. She is very proud of Gabe and his play.

I actually had it wrong. Cliff Joyner got 4th and Jeremy Jones got 5th-6th. Last night at Crazy 8...Gabe gave Rigo the 7 and last 2. Gabe won a dime.
