MEUCCI--pre SLEDGE, Ms. The cues made on GETWELL, Av. in the 70's were exceptional.

SCHON cues are, as a rule, predictable and consistant players.

LOL... I hear you...

They are fun, and it gives us some cool feedback

I cant believe I forgot Pechauer

I'd like to see these results cross referenced with where people live. I have a sneaking feeling that the local company has an advantage with the players in that area. I live in southern Minnesota roughly a six hour drive from the McDermott factory, and everyone around here swears by McD. are they good cues? Yes. Damn good. Are they the best???... thats subjective but, among decent manufacturers the mid range and top end cues are probably all very high quality.

I've got a bottom-of-the-line Schon STL-1, and I absolutely love the feel and quality of it- I don't think there's a better production cue out there (though I haven't played with everything;) ).

I know Meucci gets a bad rap, which is deserved considering current customer service, and poor quality control. But my wife's cue is a low-end European Series from '92 (I think) and it hits beautifully. It is straight as an arrow, still with its origanal shaft, and everyone that touches that cue loves it. If it was not purple, I might steal it :)

Schon cues are the finest production cues. The fit and finsih are excellent and they are excellent player cues. Then Meucci cues, they have always been an excellent cue for the money and very user friendly.

I have a 30 year old Meucci " Diamond" which is a nice cue
but it was practically made to custom standards.
My 2 favorite modern production cues are McDermott
followed by J. Pechauer.
Schon was always too stiff for me.

I bet that Meucci hits good... I have 20+ year old Meucci sneaky that plays pretty good..

I realize that some consider Schons custom cues and that Meucci and others make/made customs... But I had to include them in the list...

I picked McD but I think there best cues have already been made. Never heard of Pechauer until a couple of years ago! There weren't any around here. Schon, Meuci and McD country I guess.

Balabushka (Canadian)
Predator 314-2
Moori med.

I think such a poll should include the shaft/tip components. The butt doesn't mean much except cosmetically.

Jim

I agree with you that it should include shaft/tip combo... Maybe you can share with me how to include that in a poll like this

I vote for Schon. Although I play with a Schuler that is absolutely hands down the best hitting cue I have ever played with.
