I've added a collectible case section to my new web site. It covers a lot of ground regarding Palmer, It's George, and Fellini cases. Coming soon will be Jay Flowers and Centennial, folowed by a tooled case section.

The Palmer Collector

Have fun!

Chris

Outstanding info Chris. I'm thoroughly enjoyng your site and the added Collectible Cases section just made it that much better. Keep up the good work!

Chris,

Are you looking for pictures or just posting what you have? I think the "collectability" of cases was overlooked for too long. It's seems within only the last couple of years has anybody cared about them.

Anyway, I have a "mint" JEF Case in all black. I've never seen one like it. Two square side zipper pockets, no name on back. It's pretty cool.

Nice site though...Good luck with it!

Jim,

Please do send me the pics - I am working on a tooled case section - Jay flowers is next - and I will credit you with the photos of your case.

Hi Chris,

I have a few cases that don't really fall into any of your "standard" categories, but are pretty collectible (i.e. a Kelli elephant, several exotic Engles cases, Ann Gore, etc.). Want pics for your case section?

Your site is really coming along nicely, Chris. Your collection is awesome! Do you have any window or ebony duplicates you're thinking about getting rid of? How did that Garage Sale model with the Szamboti points look?

Take care!

Steve,

That garage sale Szamboti was really a mess. The shaft was actually from a different year Palmer. The pilot insert didn't fit so someone took file and scraped it down. I gave away everything except the butt section of the Model "I".

The previous owner, Lori Tilly, had written her name on the joint with a pen! This is a Szamboti mind you. To me, that's like using the holy water holder at church as a spittoon!

Anyway, fortunately I had several original shafts for it that fit perfectly with the same dark gray collar. The butt is easily restorable and the wrap, etc. was perfect. Nothing needed to be done but a clean-up - it's at Proficient now with 4 of my other cues - there's a picture on his home page.

Proficient Billiards

Did you spot your old cue on my Palmer web-site? Which one is it?

Also, absolutely want photo's and info on your cases. Anything you have, ads. whatever, I would like to use. I am not selling any cues at this time.

all the best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

The cue I sold you was the Model 4 from the third catalog.

Glad you could salvage the butt on the Szamboti! It's amazing what people can do, isn't it? I collect guns also, and I recently bought a fine old double barreled shotgun that someone had decorated up with their name and address (with a mechanical etcher)! They could have at least done the etching under the forearm, but no, let's write our name in BIG letters in plain view. People...????

I'll send those case pics.

Take care,

Steve

Oh yes, that's a really good cue. I had it cleaned up and re-inked the logo. Some of those 3rd catalog cues are the hardest to find for some reason.

Chris

It was a solid cue (a good player, if I remember right), and it did clean up nicely for you.

Hey, congrats on the Model B (Plamer)! How many Palmers does a guy need (does that sound like the rest of the whiners on Ebay, ha!)?

Just a few more...please!

Hey, how did you find that cue? I have a couple of friends who sent me the auction or I would never have seen it.
