ok, I have a schon shaft that has a cracked ferrule was just wondering where the best place to have it repaired would be. I was thinking of sending it write to schon but would like to entertain my other options.

Where are you located? Someone here can probably refer you to a repairman in your area.

Ask about repairs at your local pool room. If they highly recommend someone, you're set. I get many referrals that way, but I work at the pool room.

my problem is that there is no one close to me that does repairs. I live in small city that is not real big on billiards. Hell we don't even have what I would consider a real pool room here

I've heard good things about Proficient Billiards (Scott Sherbine). Mike Webb does very good work, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is backlogged with work. I'm sure there are other good cuemaker/repair persons you can contact from this forum to handle the transaction remotely.
