A few weeks ago a friend and I went to a pool hall in Milwaukee WI called Romines High Pockets. My friend pointed out they have a 12' snooker table and we should play that first. I've heard of the game and even watched a little on youtube but never played on one. He had the table layout on his smart phone and he knew the rules.
An hour later we finished our first game. Wow. We are both considered "A" players in normal pocket billiards, but on this table we felt like a "D" players. I have a new found respect for the game. The pockets are so small we were missing shots that were 2 feet out and straight. The speed was way faster than I every played on. I felt it hard to get into stroke because I was hitting every ball lightly.
After that game we felt a little embarrased. They had a tournament going on all around us and everyone was watching us miss. So we ended up going to a 9' table.
I just wanted to share my first experence with you and I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
