I received a new John "Fitz" cue

and

I am impressed!

for a new cuemaker or "old" cuemaker - John knows what he is doing. I have owned many a cue and have a large collection of Ginacues and the like...and to be honest John's cues fit right in there with the best of them.

finish is flawless - better than most I have seen
fit is flawless - he clearly takes his time building his cues
butt taper - nice taper with no vibrations
shaft taper - nice stiff taper that moves the ball around
hit - this is subjective...but it hits good with nice resonance and a good ping that allows you to feel the cue ball

I recommend his work if you can get yourself one...

It's amazing what he can do. When you can get him in the shop to do something!Jk!

Johns a nice guy too. Can't wait to see what he does next!

It's not that I don't want to be in the shop....it's just my job that helps fund cuemaking keeps me from spending a ton of time in there(and it's amazingly hot here right now, so it's hard to stay out in the shop for very long)! I'm working on spending more and more time in the shop though! Ryan has definitely encouraged me to try a few things out on the next one and I'm quite excited about it!
