For your consideration:
Wrapless Predator BK1 break cue with Uniloc joint and 12mm shaft. The original ferrule and tip were replaced by Predator under warranty about 2 years after I purchased it and the current ones are in great shape. The tip is some kind of layered leather, not sure what brand.
The cue is dead straight together and apart and still breaks really well if you have the accuracy to control it. This was my break cue for about 5 years and the finish has numerous little bumps and nicks on it, some of which show up in the pictures and some which don't.
