FS: Thomas, Fellini, and a REAL J Flowers

Case for sale?

Joe,
Glad I bought one of the cases before your thread got hijacked.
Good luck selling the others, but you might have to start a clean thread.
Thanks,
Bill

Here, let me buy my way out of this just to soothe your feelings, if Joe doesn't sell the case in the next 30 days I will call Mark and see about buying it.

"Soothe my Feelings''. LOL. That's some funny stuff. Unlike you, I'm just not that fragile. Take care of your own feelings.

Don't respond to this post because I'm done with it. Enough highjacking has been done already, regardless of what you think.

Charlie,

Please understand that I am not yours to command. This thread has 2,115 views and 61 replies. I doubt that this has hurt Joe's sales. Without the added discussion the thread would be dead. Now these beautiful cases are being viewed by many more people as the thread stays on page one.

For everyone here are the cases for sale:

Brown gator Thomas is sold...

There - now it's all back on track.

Do you think that knowing the proper history of the things being sold diminishes the attraction?

I don't. Everyone is always going on about being clear and honest in descriptions and when someone offers some information that is clear and honest then they get crapped on.

Now the buyer has all the information they need to make an informed decision without confusion as to where the case was born.

When you supplement another members "sale/trade" thread you would be best served doing so via PM.

If you can't control your compulsion to inform the membership of the original FLOWERS case manufacturing history, start your own thread.

The way you handled yourself in this thread is transparent and trite.

You know what...

I knew exactly what Joe was saying when he posted the thread. So did everyone else. The street name for the case is a flowers nobody really gives two hoots who was actually sewing the thread and leather together. It was definitely joes intention to clarify that it was an original and not the JB version. Understandably so IMO.

IT was very good to learn some of the history behind the case/brand...etc...as well very fun to finish eating my popcorn reading the threads!

What about the legal problem - irrelevant?!

Sympathy and animosity overruling legal aspects - can't get over how simple the problem is, and yet, no one cares to see it.

The title line of the thread reads "J Flowers", a brand name owned by we all know whom. Not sure about laws in the U.S., but in my country, if someone claimed they were selling a "REAL Mercedes", but pictured this:

Patent-Motorwagen_Nr.1_Benz.jpg

…a judge would exercise leniency only if the seller could rightfully claim ignorance in such matters - if he happened to be a car seller or expert of any kind, then: OUCH!!

Needless to add, in my neck of the woods, no one would be surprised if the brand name owner (= the Daimler group - or in the case of "J Flowers": we all know who) interfered! Nor insinuate the brand name owner were "hijacking" a car sale thread that's wrongfully claiming to be selling one of his products.

Sorry to turn out the pedantic and hyper-correct Swiss here, but life isn't merely about sympathy and animosity, folks!

Oh, and if anyone's wondering what's pictured above: Benz's first.

Greetings from Switzerland, David.
