FSR is the elephant in room no one talks about. The best player in the world right now that most folks ignore.

I feel that the Spaniard has stuck to the regional European events up until recently.

He may be hitting on all eight right now and certainly testing his game against the top brass.

Seems like a likable player and if he continues to terrorize the fields in the future he will not be ignored for much longer.
His game is marvelous.

For a while I thought Filler would be dominating, but FSR made him a 2nd tier player. It's unbelieveable how much he is he has won in the last year or two.

It's all cyclical. Every few years a fresh player gets hot and starts crushing everyone in sight. We all think he's the best ever until his hot streak cools down and someone else gets hot. Right now it's probably FSR or Fedor but we've seen the same recently out of Filler, Albin, Kazakis, SVB, Chang, Kaci, Shaw, Biado, Ko Brothers, Yapp, etc.

The true test is how long they can stay at the top. I think SVB and Earl have them all beat in that regard.

Also, I don't think FSR is the elephant in the room by any stretch. He's been in Matchroom's spotlight for a while now. His face has been the largest on all of the recent Matchroom promotion posters.

Right now, it can be argued that SVB is the American version of FSR. 🤭
No, it can't. This doesn't make much sense at all. Especially considering SVB is much older than FSR. So if anything FSR would be a version of SVB. But even that doesn't make any sense. They don't really have anything in common other than being top pool players.

By which metric? He's #3 on the money leaderboard as well as the fargo top 100. I think in the end it is rather subjective and boils down to preference.

How about this metric?
Does that only take matches played under matchroom's umbrella into consideration? Like I said, in my opinion it's very subjective; even statistical models like fargorate are rather useless for predicting match outcomes when there's only a few points difference between tyhe top players.

(I understand not everyone who participates in this forum keeps up with professional pool.)
Crap; that is not a good yearly income:: anyone that gets an advanced degree in computer science or compute engineering or electrical engineering or mechanical engineering can get more than that as a salary these days with health care and other benefits.
