Emerald Coast 9 Ball Classic

The flyers just went out last week for this event, and we're already getting entries, both in the women's event and the open.

Details are on www.starcadebilliards.com and listed on AZBilliards tournament calendar.

We feel that both divisions will fill (32 for the women and 128 for the men), so if anyone needs more info, email me or call me. The contact info is on the website.
Thanks, Mike for the tournament announcement and listing.

Man Andy, I wish I could be there for this one! I'm sure there will be brackets full of cueing talent from all over. Are you going to have a page dedicated to update the brackets? I would love to see a list of attending players and who each of them played and how each player finishes. Is this possible?
Best of luck with the EMERALD COAST 9BALL CLASSIC!!!

Zim

Zim, thanks for the good wishes. I think it's going to be a good one.

We're hoping to build some new fans for pool with this event. The estimated attendance at the fair during the 6 days (including the women's event) will be 20,000 people. And they will all enter thru the building where the tournament is being held. It's a safe bet that at least 15,000 of them will have never seen a pool tournament. We hope that at least a few thousand of them will stay and watch. There's no admission charge at the tournament itself, but there is for entrance to the fairgrounds.

As for updates, Mike Howerton, the owner of this site, has indicated that he would like to cover it (thanks, Mike) in as much real-time as I can provide. Thanks for the interest. wish you could be here.

Andy- Where's the tournament being held at? What are the dates of this tournament? (I missed that part) It sounds like you should draw a good crowd of spectators, hopefully!

Best of luck!

Zim, the women's event will be Oct. 27 - 28, Mon. & Tues. at the Okaloosa County Fairgrounds. The Open will start on Wed. the 29th and finish on Sat. Nov. 1. If we fill up with 128 players, some matches on Thurs and Fri will be played at Starcade, simultaneous with matches at the fiargrounds. This is due to the restricted open hours at the fair. All of Wed. and all of Sat. will be at the fairgrounds. More info on my website www.starcadebilliards.com
