LAST I HEARD, THERE WAS A COMPANY THAT WAS STARTING TO MAKE IT AGAIN. THIS CUE ACTUALLY HAS, WHAT LOOKS LIKE GRAIN, INSIDE THE RINGS. IT'S SOMETHING I HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE.

well marcus, you definitely have my attention. maybe my ivory jointed hoppe has to go. i'll be in touch.

Ask Pete!
The collars are probably wood! If so it will be your best hitter! Sometimes high end buyers specifically ask for wood collars or they will not accept delevery. If the cue was made for Scott special order as all his special orders the collars are definately wood!
Nick :)

Marcus, that Tascarella is a beauty, hell I might even like it better than mine!

NICK, IF I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WOOD AND PHENOLIC, I'LL STOP BUYING CUES. THIS JUST HAPPENS TO BE A BATCH OF PHENOLIC WHERE THE FIBERS GOT TWISTED WHILE IT WAS HARDENING, GIVING IT A LOOK OF GRAIN.

Sweet wrap

Marcus,
It definately matches your beautiful Tascarella cue.

Best Regards,
Hal in Ohio

This has to be one of the most idiotic posts in a while. That would have absolutely zero effect on hit, and this type of phenolic is clearly distinquishable from wood to the naked eye.

I have been fooled

Especially in black. You know your stuff. Wood collars are rare, special ordered and hit really clean. They are very pricy too. So, it was just a thought.
Also idiots much like me pay super premiums for wood collars and if you look at some very high end Manzino or Searings and think they are Phenolic you are wrong there are more than a few high end collectors that insist that wood collars be used in the construction of their cues. And they can play and they say the differance is very great. And 98% of you will never see these cues unless they are being played with and still you will more than likely be fooled by the look when done by a master! But the hit is worth the premium.
Sorry about the distraction Marcus.
Sweet stuff!
Nick :)

Very nice looking cue and that gator wrap sure does accent the cue very well. Love the exotic looks with that wrap on.

SHE LOOKS MUCH BETTER NOW. I HAD PETE FRESHEN EVERYTHING UP. WHEN I GOT IT BACK, IT LOOKED LIKE THE SHAFTS HADN'T BEEN CLEANED IN YEARS. HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU.

GUY, I DON'T THINK THEY ARE MADE TO LOOK LIKE WOOD, THEY JUST HAPPEN TO END UP THAT WAY.

Marcus , this is CANVAS brown plenolic. It has the beauty of wood grain that your tas has. Very nice cue , like the classic but elegant look of this one. Great buy! Some of us can still get lots of this , sshhh, it's a secret!
Thanx,
Jim
