Good thing about Thingie

I don't usually write this type of thread but I think Joel deserves one, especially after taking some beating over Hal's SW.

I bought a bluegrass off Thingie on eBay. I actually bought it without asking him too many questions beforehand that I normally do and made some assumptions about the cue.

One of the assumption I made was about joint protectors. I, for some reason, made asssumption about joint protectors since every other bluegrass I've bought came with them.

Anyway, I started dialogues with Thingie after the purchase and he knew overall I wasn't 100% happy.

Then one day, another AZ member was selling bluegrass joint protectors and I posted a question about it. Joel (Thingie) read my post and went and bought the JPs while I was still deciding about buying it or not. Joel had it shipped to a friend of his in USA and this frined shipped it to me. All at ZERO cost to me.

I got the JP in the mail today and it's a perfect JP for my cue (I think it IS the JP for my cue!!!).

Joel didn't have to do this (and I wasn't going to post negative about my transaction with him) but he went out of his way to make sure I was happy ... and I am.

Joel (Thingie), as far as I'm concerned, you're one stand up guy .. and thank you very much.

That was a pretty cool thing to do. That is customer service. He did seem to take a pretty bad beating. This is good to hear.

just came upon this after hearing from a friend, I'm quite bogged down with work so I didn't see this sooner. I guess if I were in your shoes I would feel the same, so I'll just try to make everyone happier
