Here's a real sweet neo-Titlist 4-point tribute cue from Ariel "H.J." Carmeli. Its made from the harder to find and deeper colored Bolivian Purpleheart into figured golden birdseye maple. The veneer colors are magenta, teal, golden mahogany, and natural. The cue is cored as most Carmeli cues are. It has flat-face brass joint sleeve with golden anodized pin. Shafts are 12.75mm with one being a Predator 314-2. Has smooth black calfskin wrap. Ivory disc at rear completes this magnificent tribute to Herman J. Rambow and the Brunswick cuemakers. Weighs 18.85/18.93 oz. with 18-1/2" balance point. This cue is a winner! $1375.00

So that's what it's called! Bolivian Purpleheart? That's the deep, dark purpleheart I've been talking about all over the posts of other people's purpleheart cues in the last couple weeks...

Man, I actually really like that cue! Love the wood...the butt plate style...the overall cue style...and that joint is awesome! Resembles the radial SS joint I like a lot...

Only down side: The cue cost money. :(
LOL. Seems to be well worth it, though...

Good luck with the sale! :)

Hope to see more stuff like this from Carmeli (although I would personally like to have it with (2) 13mm Carmeli shafts, but the shaft setup on this one is a nice break from the norm)! The other stuff on the site was pretty neat and retro-styled, but they tend to get a bit overbearing sometimes...lol -- this cue is classic yet simple. Sweet all-around! :D

The first 3 Titlist tribute cues have golden anodized 3/8-10 aluminum pins that were made for Ariel. He is thinking of using them on some of his other cues.

Golden anodized pin. What pin is that? First time hearing it.

Martin,

That's really nice looking cue you're selling. I'm very impressed w/ Carmeli's work. I think he is very underrated as a cuemaker. My friend bought one of his converted sneaky pete's you were selling a while ago. The cue hits awesome; and if I remember correctly, it cost less than most production sneaky petes.

Good luck w/ the sale.

Thanks...this kind of purpleheart is the nuts beacuse of its color and texture. Its not reedy and dull like standard South American purpleheart (which is still a great pool cue wood,IMO). I have an super black ebony model ready in a few days with standard shafts, naturally it will cost less.

I'll be watching....;)

Nice

Neat stuff!!!!!
Those high end veneers are everything you would expect but I would have loved the cue more with the mahogany veneers where you have light green!
Very classy set up you have there.
I have to ask are you keeping one or two?
This cue should be in the cue gallery!
Nick:)

Thanks Nick, I might have Ariel make me one to keep down the road. I agree that it would be fun to do some of the other Titlist veneer colors...Mike Webb has done some tribute cues like that I think. I have 2 more ready to be wrapped this weekend and another purpleheart wraplless with ebony handle a few weeks behind.

Hay Martin!

That pin really looks 3/8-11 with the Southwest type threads too!
Really nice!

I have been very impressed with the Carmeli cues you have been posting recently. I don't think I will confuse him with Russ Espiritu anymore.:D

Glad to hear that. Ariel is inching his way into the upper eschelon of cue craft. I bug him to make these retro style cues and he goes along with it. There are many new designs coming down the pike. He has an excellent supply of figured cue woods and real good shaftwood. His cues play good.

Hi Martin;

That really doesn't look like a brass sleeve, or am I just OTL. Those points look almost as long and fine as Lambros points. Love the long points. Great looking cue. I like Ariel's work, in fact I have a very nice AC cue.
