I would really like to get some opinions on how much my Jacoby cue is worth in todays used pool cue market?
It is a Jacoby - Jesse James Bowman signature series cue.
It originally cost $450 when it was new, but Jacoby told me that it would cost $650 if he were to build another one today (but he no longer makes them).
I would like to sell or trade it, but I do not know what a fair price would be to ask for it.
I do not want to ask too much, and I do not want to ask for less then I should be able to get for it either, so I would just like some opinions about the value of the cue in its used condition.
It rolls straight (together and apart), but he does have a couple of very small dings (that are not noticeable), and some very light hair line scratches that are not noticeable either (unless looking for them in the light).
I was told by Jacoby that only around 12 of them were ever made, but this may not mean anything about the value of the cue.
I do not know how well these Pro series cues hold their value, or if they are possibly collectible.
By the way, I am just curious about the value of the cue with just the original shaft, because I sold the OB1 shaft that is pictured together with the Jacoby.
Thanks for any opinions about the value of the cue.
