Why did he take the 500$?

Isnt 5 sets enough for somebody to quit?

if you really want an answer to your qeastion, some background info might help because I don't know about the rest of the AZers here but I'm in the same boat with Steve. I have NO idea what you are talking about.

elucidation

This is my attempt to clear up this matter. The difficulty I have is that I don't know what happened. So it is a challenge.
But ..., I did hear that Orcullo was playing a young guy, (who I assumed perhaps wrongly was Clatterback (sp)), and that when Orcullo lost, the guy gave Orcullo back the $500 that Orcullo had lost. That is, Orcullo was one set down when they quit. I was told that the young guy just gave him his $500 back b/c it was Dennis Orcullo, and the young guy's backer is loaded, but maybe what happened is that Dennis objected to the young guy wanting to quit. So Dennis demanded his $500 back that he was down. This is what can be inferred from the initial post. Again, from the initial post it appears that they had played 5 sets.
This happened either Tuesday or Wednesday night.
So the real question is, who is the young guy that beat Dennis Orcullo?

If this is a comedy mind reading show.......

I'm not laughing....

I'm thinking the card next to that guy's ear should be blank. That could explain it!

Chuck Altomare

they were playing 9 ball EVEN. chuck is a monster and i just posted that story as i knew it in the best unknown monsters thread.

Way to go guys. Flame the eyebrows off a new poster...whose native language may not be english....and if it is, his GREAT SIN was to not have explained himself very well.

How about "I'm not sure what your question is. Please rephrase it."

The flames were just mean-spirited bullying. Now you can flame me for a while if you need to in order to get your rocks off...what there are of them.

Way to go Chuckie!

I Used to hand out and practice with him, you are right he is a monster! i knew then all he had to do is get his act together. he shoots a hell of a game!

C'mon guys. the game just barely started and some of you are already making a big deal out of a 1 set win? if Chuck and his backer was that confident, why pull up all of a sudden without finishing the match? I'm sensing that Dennis or some backer of his might had wanted to increase the ante and that Chuck might had noticed that they are being set-up.

*it is plain nonsense that Dennis was reimbursed back of his money just becoz his name happens to be Dennis Orcullo.
