did a search and didn't find anything, so here goes.

1. what is the best way to cut a rail rubber if its too long?

2. when glueing a rail rubber, should you stretch it any at all?

3. Is a good contact rubber cement the best way to glue a rail?

I have covered many many tables but never done any rails. Thanks in advance.

I like to use an 8 inch razor scraper blade dipped in warm soapy water. Follow the contour of the rail liner and work slowly. Keep your blade wet.

2 Slight stretch of the length will help you to keep the top edge (and nose) straight. it's OK.

3 Yes, I recommend 3m 10. Dartman stocks this product.

I use a Mister Twister electric fillet knife , works great . I use 3M contact cement , 2 coats . Don't stretch the rubber as it will decrease its performance and life ... Also don't pull rail cloth too tight as this will deaden the cushion somewhat ...;)
