Had the surgery (out patient) on my feet two days ago. Man this is the best my feet have felt in years. The doctor went in and scraped the bones on the balls of my feet and and the two outter bones. They were bulging so bad I was walking on them only, causing trmendous pain. Some days I couldn't even play pool for 15 min before having to quit from the pain. My cheap a$$ is going to a good shoe store and buying good shoes when all of the swelling goes down, well maybe I'm still cheap...my wife is paying.

I had the doctor set up a mirror so I could see what he was doing. I know some that just slice you open a little and take a couple of swipes and close it back up, really doing nothing. Nurses and street smart guys from NY are always looking for the con/hustle from the doctors. I can not trust them...I've seen too much of open and close "that will be $3000 or $100,000, thank you"from a LOT of them. Johnnyt

Thank you. They look and sound like their good. John

Way past good my friend, the best. You can stand on a concrete slab for 12 hours wearing these things and still have a spring in your step. They are absolutely perfect for the long grinds, whether that be at an hourly job or the pool table. Best $100 you can spend for your feet and back!

Again, good luck with the new wheels

Ouch... makes me cringe. Hope it works for you.

I don't trust the Dr's either. I had a colonoscopy done a month back. He removed two pollups and said they were both benign but one was "suspicious" so he wants to do ti again in 6 months..... just to be sure.

Now... he got $1600 for that 15 min procedure and the hospital got $8500+ and he's affiliated w/the hospital. Now I discover that a friend who went to him for this procedure and had the same outcome.... i.e. lets do it again in 6 months.

Who's going to say he's running a game? Nobody could openly accuse him of that but I sure have my suspicions. But.... on the other hand, I gotta go along w/him and make sure because what if he is being straight up w/me?

I still think he's running a game on me/us.

Jim I was a nurse for 12 years and my wife has been one for over 40 years...you have no idea what games these doctors play. While a lot of it is to protect themselves from the lawsuits a lot are just plain con jobs and stealing. They know most don't know if they need something done or not. I've seen doctor's open people up and push some organs around roughly so there would be pain after they did absulutly nothing and closed them back up. But your right, you have to go back in 6 months with something like that...you can't roll the dice on that. As far as getting a second opinion in the same area where your doctor practices...forget it. Their ALL in it together and won't rat each other out. Go to another state that someone can recomend a good doc that they have use if youre insurance will cover out of state. Johnnyt

Like I said above in the 60's and 70's it would take a $100 short race in 9-ball or 125 14.1 to tighten my a$$ up like a crabs. Now I can't get the money out of my head when I play for $50 and 50 ain't worth $hit anymore. I have more money now than almost anytime in my life and think about it when I shoot every money ball. I knew to the $5 how much money I had on me even when I was drunk, but it never entered my mind once I started playing. As long as I had enough to pay off if I lost I was good to go. Johnnyt

Congrats on the new wheels! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

When you go to get some new shoes, get you a set of these

Most comfortable shoes ever made

The Cue Tec Stamina shoe looks good except for the orange color but for now I will stick with my Birkenstocks, which pass for a dress shoe even though the oblique "regular" width makes my feet look like Penguin's feet.

With those refurbished tootsies, JohnnyT should be running all over the Southeast for pool action.

Good to hear
Here is a site for some great insoles http://happyfeet.net/

I use these in my work boots and they work great. I stand on concrete for 12 hours a day which made my feet hurt like hell and it would spread up to my knees so bad that I didn't trust myself to walk down stairs. My feet don't hurt anymore and neither do my knees except for weather related aches. They take a short break in period, but you'll love em.

I might be able to trot, cantor, or gallop, but the running days are over. Maybe a short sprint....like 20 yards. Johnnyt
