I hear everyone talking about joint and ferrule and how those make such a difference in a cue's playability. Which is true. But I never hear a discussion of butt diameter. Cue makers very rarely advertise what theirs are, and I think that is more important. After going to a southwest style thinner butt, I can never see me playing with a larger one at this point. How come that doesn't seem to be a stronger factor in what cue to get topic? And, other the grip feel, is there any hit differences?
