They are a great source humour. Don't get me wrong, I'm smiling about this, I'm not complaining.
Here's the situation. Summer 8 ball league, no divisionalization. 4 person teams 16 game format.
Handicaps are determined by a combination of player rank and average.
New players to the league use their average as their handicap.
top ranked play as a 10, 2nd to top play as 9 (or higher depending on average)
3rd play as 8(or higher depending on average) and so on.
The handicaps for my team were as follows 10, 9, 9, and 9 for a total of 37
our opponents were all 5s for a total of 20.
This meant we were giving them 17 points a round for a total of 68 points for the match. Teams are ranked for the season by the number of round points they have, 1 point a round plus one for the most points for the match.
We won 15 of 16 games. in the last round our opponents won the last game to give them a score of 22 +17 total 39 to our 36 for that round. They got the round point :thumbup:.
I knew at the start of the match we'd probably have to win every game in a round order to get the round point.
This pushed us to play a little harder I think and we ended up almost having a perfect night.
