A while back, I forget how long, I remember the topic of
a 4-piece cue mentioned. It was mentioned by a cue maker
who was wondering if there would be a market.
A couple years ago, I was looking for a cue that I could
store in my briefcase, along with my "work stuff". I'm
not talking about some cheapo POC like those 5 piece
cues that resemble a smile when assembled.
I even mentioned this to a local cuemaker "Pete" who
is now a member, but he did not want to get involved, as
he did not think the joint in the shaft would allow a "good"
cue to become the result.
I even showed him an Axiom jump/break cue I purchased,
and since it already broke down on the butt end, all that
would be needed to complete my goal, would be to add
a joint about halfway down the shaft.
How much approximately would (or will) a cue maker out
here charge me to add such a "shaft joint" to a cheap
production sneaky such an Eliminator or facsimile?
I am welcoming both opinions, and quotes.
EDIT: Oops, I forgot. A non J/B sneaky would need 2 joints added.
